About Marcelle Danan

I started my career as a fashion designer, then as an interior designer, and then just as a designer who creates whatever comes my way.

I love stones, woods, trees, leather, textures: cotton, linen, silk, anything I can touch, feel, and smell.

I am open to everything that blossoms enthusiasm and creativity.

I was walking in a park near my home in Paris when I saw an amazing GINGKO BILOBA tree.

I was fascinated by the shape and the texture of the leaves. I made some research and  I then found out :

That it is the Emblem of the Japanese Emperors.

That it is the tree of serenity and peacefulness.

The tree of a thousand shields.

Nothing can excite me more.

I picked one up and put it in the middle of a heavy book to dry.

I went to Marrakech a few days later and showed it to a brass artisan who had worked for me a few years earlier. I asked him if he could create this leaf in brass. Of course, he did an amazing job...

The GINGKO BILOBA leaf in Brass was BORN…

It sprang into my mind, and ideas started to blossom.

I had several amazing chapters in my life.
But this one is THE one of my life book.
